The NetApp DS4243 is a rack-mountable 4U enclosure with 24 hot-swappable 3.5″ drive bays.
Built-in SAS→SATA expander exposes all bays over a single 4-lane SAS port. Ideal for low-cost expansion.

- Up to 4x redundant, hot-swappable PSUs (operational on one PSU)
- Daisy-chain up to 10 shelves (A→A & B→B modules)
- SFF-8436 SAS ports (QSFP+ cables required)
- Front-panel shelf ID programmable via push-button
- Mix SAS, SATA, SSD-NetApp recommends uniform RPMs to minimize vibration
